Al Capone also known as al Scarface or big Al was the child of an Italian immigrant family. His mother was named Theresa and his dad was a barber called Gabriele, they had two children and then moved to Brooklyn where al Capone was born in January 17 1899. At the age of 14 al Capone was expelled for hitting a teacher. Since then al Capone never went back to school. After this situation al Capone got lots of free time and that’s when he met his mentor Johny Torrio and got introduced to the world of Mafias. Al Capone went into Torrio's gang, the Five Points Gang. He became most famous for bootlegging during the prohibition era. After a life of crime al Capone was sent to Alcatraz in August 1934 for tax evation. His punishment was 11 years of prison. As time passed capone's health deteriorated and he was let free after 6 and a half years for good behavior. Capone died in January 25 1947 of a heart attack. The prohibition Johnny Torrio
